How do I work with/ Hire a Graphic Designer?

WORKING WITH A GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ COMPANY

With graphic design work, a down payment or full payment is due before work starts depending on what type of work is being done. Spec work, (where the work is done first and the client decides if they like it before they pay is NOT COMMON PRACTICE in the graphic design industry, and even considered unethical by the industry standards. Why? Because in essence we would be working for free with no guarantee of income and sometimes the clients will even steal the design ideas. It is unfair to ask a designer to working long hours on a project and not getting paid at the end. Allure Design Graphics however will produce a mock up for first time clients upon request as a courtesy.

How do you decide if you like the designer? By checking out their portfolio and other works posted. If you like their style then that's how you choose them for your project. Pay up front and work closely with the designer to get desired results. Be clear as you can and have an idea of what you want or let them have artistic freedom. Pay your fees on time to keep the project moving along. Return calls and emails! These are just something's to keep the experience positive and nurture a continuing partnership.

Payment Policy
Payments for all design projects $50 and under is due in full prior to start of the work process. As a courtesy new customers can request a complimentary a mock up of their design to get familiar with the designer’s design skill and work process. After this, standard payment policy applies. Restrictions apply. Subject to change.

Payments for design projects $51 and up can be paid in halves with the first half being due prior to the start of work as a down payment and the latter half being paid after approval of final proof (before final files are sent). Payments in thirds (three payments of 1/3 of total) can also apply to your project. Please ask if your project is eligible. Restrictions apply. Subject to change.

All projects that require printing will require full payment. This covers the cost of materials and saves us from being stuck with and having to discard your printed materials. Restrictions apply. Subject to change.

Ways to Pay
Allure Design Graphics accepts credit card/ debit payments through Paypal, checks (must clear prior to start of project), and money orders. You must have a valid email address to pay with your credit card (and receive your design files). Please make checks and money orders payable to Allure Design Graphics.
